A small scale project in between ILLBEGONE and ILLBEBACK, INXISITION did put the accent back on the body in the flesh, the real living body.
As the working process coincided with some mayor cuts within the funding of the Dutch arts, the performance became a silent protest against the right wing policies which threaten the viability of contemporary performance arts in the Netherlands. THe performer is sacrificed in a ritual of virtualization.
Here again - virtualization is interpreted as a process of organizing the absence. It is a tool for disappearance and disembodiment, providing a prosthesis for reality.
